We are getting excited...

Things are coming together (slowly) and we're getting excited to see everyone. Please RSVP if you haven't done so already.

Also, feel free to leave comments or send us notes or pictures to publish in this blog... I'm going to start posting pictures and notes about some of our friends and family that will be involved in the ceremony.

We would love to hear from you.

Day of the Event

Just for fun...
If you are in town and up for it... join us for a morning surf/paddle out. Location is tbd, check the blog (feel free to call our cells if you don't have internet) at 8-8:30am and see where we are heading... depends on the surf conditions. Chances are Rincon (if there are waves) or paddle around Hammonds if it is flat. We will be out 'til around 11am : )

Ceremony

2:30pm: Arrive at beach trail.

Make your way to our lovely beach ceremony on Hammond's Beach, Montecito.
(this is for you to have a little extra time to enjoy the path that leads you to the beach... allow at least 15 minutes to park and walk to the ceremony).

Update: There is ample parking on Wyant Road across the street from Hacienda Floreada (210 San Ysidro Road - i.e., the house where the reception is being held). We intend to have a shuttle van to take you from the house to the beach trail. Alternatively, you can walk down from the house or simply drive to the end of San Ysidro and park in the parking lot or along the road (note: parking is limited). The shuttle will be available to get you back to the house as well.

3:00pm: Ceremony begins

After the ceremony, leisurely walk along the beach and make your way to the house for cocktails & tapas at 4pm. We will all come together with the toasts around 5pm. Then have a seat and lite a candle for a lovely dinner outside... sunset is at 6:24pm! There will be the cutting of the cake around 7, to be served with coffee outside under the stars.

This is an all ages affair, so if you need to get your little ones home for bed now is a good time, between 8-9pm ; )

We will leave the dancing for the after party...
9:30pm-whenever, meet up at Elsie's to take over the dance floor... http://www.yelp.com/biz/elsies-tavern-santa-barbara
Note Elsie's is 21 and over.

Let someone know if you need a ride - this group is more than happy to coordinate. We will have a cab company on call...

Attire is beach elegant, but in true Kelly style... feel free to wear your flip flops all night ; )

Traveling from outside of California?

Santa Barbara has an airport served by a number of major airlines or their regional carriers (e.g., United Express). Tickets are generally more expensive and connections through Los Angeles (LAX) are sometimes hit and miss. Another option is to fly into LAX and rent a car or take the Santa Barbara Air Bus (http://www.santabarbaraairbus.com/lax/index.php) which stops at Hotel Mar Monte (one of the hotel options below).

If you choose to drive, it takes a little under two hours and I recommend taking the coast through Malibu. If you are interested in doing so, email me and I can give you good directions.
